Mt. Septimus is one of the 9 Island Qualifiers on Vancouver Island that I’ve had the pleasure of climbing in May 2024. The first time I saw this mountain was on day trip to Cream Lake years ago. That was also my first time encountering a bear in the backcountry while hiking solo.
